Management doctor Valters Bolevics noted in an interview with TV-24 that the fight against bureaucracy is currently only happening in words. In reality, the expert emphasizes, new departments are being created, and councils still exist at state enterprises, even though there is no need for them.

"I would keep the councils only at two state capital companies - 'Latvijas valsts meži' and 'Latvenergo'. All other state enterprises, both in terms of their profile and financial indicators, are so small - in the context of the European Union - that one board is sufficient and councils are not needed," the expert is convinced.
