On Thursday, light snow is expected in places in Latvia, mainly in the central part of the country, meteorologists forecast, writes LETA.
The sun will shine in Latgale and eastern Vidzeme, while the rest of the country will experience cloudy weather. A weak southern and southeast wind will blow.
The maximum air temperature will range from 0 to -5 degrees in Kurzeme to -11 to -14 degrees in the eastern part of the country.
In Riga, cloudy weather and light snow are expected. With a moderate southern and southeast wind, the air temperature will rise to -7 to -8 degrees.
Weather conditions are determined by the western edge of the anticyclone. Atmospheric pressure at sea level will range from 1015 hPa in Ventspils to 1025 hPa in Dagda.
