Rīgas Satiksme has fulfilled its promise to passengers: after testing the innovation, all buses on route No. 22 to Riga Airport have been equipped with special spaces for luggage.
The municipal enterprise Rīgas Satiksme has completed the implementation of a new solution for passengers traveling to Riga Airport. All buses on route 22 are now equipped with special areas for luggage, as the company announced on social media.
Rīgas Satiksme announced the launch of the pilot project in February. At that time, a separate luggage space was equipped in one of the buses on the route to make trips to and from the airport more comfortable. The design was developed and manufactured by the company's specialists, taking into account the needs of passengers with large luggage.
During this time, Rīgas Satiksme employees observed how the innovation was used in practice and collected feedback from passengers. Following the testing, it was decided to extend the successful solution to all buses operating on route 22. "All buses to the airport are now equipped with luggage spaces. We created them in our workshops so that the constant companions of passengers — their suitcases — have their own place during the journey," the company stated.
Thus, Rīgas Satiksme has fulfilled its earlier promise and made public transport trips to Riga Airport more convenient for both tourists and city residents traveling or returning home.
