On the night of Thursday, snow and light snowstorms are expected in Kurzeme and western Zemgale, meteorologists forecast.
The air temperature at night will range from -5 to -9 degrees in Kurzeme to -20 degrees in some areas in the east of the country, where clear weather is expected.
During the day, the sun will shine in Latgale and eastern Vidzeme, while the rest of the country will experience cloudy weather with light snow. The air temperature will range from 0 to -5 degrees in Kurzeme to -11 to -14 degrees in Latgale.
There will be a light to moderate southern and southeast wind, with gusts of 8-13 meters per second at night.
In Riga on Thursday, it will be cloudy, with light snow expected during the day. The air temperature in the capital will be around -10 degrees at night, rising to -7 degrees during the day.
