On Sunday, light precipitation is expected in many places in Latvia, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In particular, in the eastern part of Latvia, snow and sleet are expected on Sunday, while in the western part, predominantly rain will fall.
The wind will be weak; however, in the afternoon, it will blow from the southwest and west along the coast, strengthening to moderately strong. The air temperature will rise to +2...+7 degrees, but in the eastern regions, it will remain within +1...-2 degrees.
In Riga, the day will be overcast, with occasional light precipitation expected - sleet and rain, and fog is also possible in the morning hours. A weak to moderate southern and southeast wind will blow, and the air will warm up to +2...+3 degrees.
