In Daugavpils, the air cooled to -7.4 degrees, in Zoseni and Zileni to -7.2 degrees, in Rezekne to -6.8 degrees, in Skriveri to -6.5 degrees, in Gulbene to -6.4 degrees, in Ainazi to -6.2 degrees, and in Priekuli to -6 degrees.

At the same time, in Rucava and Liepaja, the thermometers dropped just below 0 degrees - at these observation stations, the air temperature was -0.1 degrees and -0.3 degrees, respectively.

Meteorologists note that the cold snap will persist in the coming days, but it will not be stable, and next week the air temperature will rise again.
