This week, Latvia will experience predominantly cloudy and warm weather with brief rain, meteorologists predict.
On Monday, brief rain is expected in most regions, with air temperatures ranging from +7 to +11 degrees.
On Tuesday, the sky will clear in places, and rain will fall in many regions, with gusts of south-west wind reaching up to 16 meters per second along the coast. The minimum air temperature at night will be +3 to +7 degrees, while during the day it will warm up to +8 to +12 degrees.
In the middle of the week, rain and fog are expected in places, with a light to moderate south-west wind blowing. Air temperatures will range from +8 to +13 degrees, with nighttime temperatures around +6 degrees. In some regions, heat records may be broken.
According to current forecasts, no significant precipitation is expected over the weekend, but it will become cooler.
According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, the average air temperature this week in Latvia will be four degrees above normal, while next week it may drop to levels typical for November.
