On the night of Sunday, rain will continue in most areas of Latvia, but by morning, the sky will clear in places, predicts the Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology (LCEGM), reports LETA.
At the beginning of the night, the sky will be overcast, and precipitation is expected over most of the territory. In the eastern regions, the rain will be prolonged and heavy throughout the night. From the second half of the night, the sky in the west of the country will begin to clear in places, but even there, clouds will occasionally bring rain. A light south-western, western wind will blow, which will shift to a southern and south-western direction at night in the west.
The air temperature will drop to +5...+9 degrees, while in the south-western areas, where the cloud cover will be less dense, the air will cool to +3...+4 degrees.
In Riga, the night will be predominantly cloudy, with occasional rain, including drizzling, which will cease by morning. A light south-western, western wind will blow. The minimum air temperature will be +6...+7 degrees.
The last day of the week in Latvia will generally be cloudy, with some clearing expected in the morning and early afternoon. The air will warm up to +7...+11 degrees, predicts the Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology (LCEGM).
