During the weekend, with the arrival of cooler air from the north, Latvia will become sunnier, meteorologists predict, LETA reports.
On Thursday and Friday, the sky will be mostly cloudy; however, on Friday, starting from the northwest of the country, the cloud cover will decrease. Rain is expected at times. A weak western and southwestern wind will prevail, which will shift to a northern wind on Friday.
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week — the air temperature will rise to +9..+14 degrees. On Friday, the air will warm up to +6..+11 degrees, and at night the temperature will not drop below +3..+8 degrees.
On Saturday and Sunday, relatively sunny weather is expected, with small and brief precipitation possible in some areas. There will be fog in the night and morning hours in places. A weak northern wind will shift to a western wind. The air temperature at night in most parts of the country will drop to 0..-3 degrees, and ice may form on some sections of the roads. During the day, the air will warm up to no more than +6..+11 degrees.
It is expected that next week the air temperature will gradually rise, especially at night, and rain will occur at times.
