Hollywood actress Sharon Stone candidly shared her personal experience of life after a severe stroke she suffered 25 years ago.
Connection with the Souls of the Deceased
According to the 67-year-old actress, the stroke opened up a completely new level of perception of reality for her. Stone admitted that over time she began to feel a connection with the souls of the deceased, both those she knew and strangers. These sensations are particularly vivid during her painting sessions.
This is how the series of paintings Rogues Gallery came to be, where the actress creates portraits of people from different historical eras. While working on the canvases, she sometimes feels as if she hears the voices of those depicted. Stone perceives this not as fear, but as a deep emotional dialogue.
One of the most painful works became the painting Him. According to the actress, the canvas depicts a person who perished in a drowning on a slave ship, and the process of creating the portrait allowed her to experience his tragedy alongside the image.
A New Perspective on Life
Despite the unusual nature of this experience, Sharon Stone does not consider it a burden. On the contrary, the actress calls these sensations a gift that helped her to better understand herself, find new meaning in her creativity, and embrace a new stage of life after decades dedicated to cinema.
