The post was not made by chance. Emma Heming timed it to coincide with World Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Week — a disease that their family has faced.

The actor's wife noted that Willis has always been proud of the opportunity to help families dealing with dementia, as well as the people who care for such patients every day. According to Emma, even after leaving the film industry, her husband continues to leave behind an important legacy.

“He is and always will be a legend. And I am so proud to be his wife,” Heming wrote.

Willis's fans warmly reacted to the new photograph. In the comments, many admitted that they have been following the actor's work for decades and thanked his wife for continuing to share about his life.
