Latvian resident Maris shared a video of an unusually rich mushroom catch — in one trip, he managed to collect several dozen porcini mushrooms. Along with them, other mushrooms were also in the basket, including chanterelles.
According to the man, it was a "fantastic trip" to the forest, which his sister, who had just arrived from England, also participated in.
Maris claims that the forest in the Augšdaugava region is literally full of porcini mushrooms. In some clearings, mushroom pickers found as many as 10–15 noble mushrooms at once.
The publication has literally gone viral and has already garnered nearly 300,000 views. Users are actively discussing the find — some are admiring the catch, others are asking where such a mushroom spot is located, while some doubt whether the video was filmed recently.
"Like in a fairy tale!", "You can't do without heart drops here!" and "I haven't found a single porcini yet" — users write.
One commenter thanked Maris for the post and admitted that after seeing it, he went to the forest — and indeed found places where mushrooms were growing right next to each other.
However, there were also skeptics. Some suggested that the video could have been filmed earlier, while others even suspected the use of artificial intelligence.
In another video, Maris showed a whole clearing literally covered with mushrooms, and specifically emphasized: this is not the work of artificial intelligence, but real footage from the forest. “It’s an indescribable feeling.”
As is often the case, the mushroom picking enthusiast did not reveal the exact location where he managed to gather such a rich catch.
