Now the heirloom has been passed down to the actress's younger son, Fyodor. The choice turned out to be symbolic: the boy is seriously engaged in tennis and trains at Rafael Nadal's academy.
"This racket is from our grandfather, from Andrei Alexandrovich Mironov. And he played with it on the last day of his life. This is our gift for September 1st! This is our love," Maria said.
Thus, the family heirloom has once again found its way into the hands of someone passionate about tennis after decades.
Andrei Mironov passed away in August 1987. He was 46 years old. His only biological daughter, Maria, was born from Mironov's marriage to actress Ekaterina Gradova.
Later, the artist married Larisa Golubkina and raised her daughter Maria Golubkina. Golubkina herself stated in 2024 that she considers Andrei Mironov her biological father.
