Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, with whom he has been in a relationship for nearly ten years, are preparing to get married this coming weekend. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
According to the publication, the ceremony will take place on August 8 in the footballer's hometown — Funchal on the island of Madeira.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at the Funchal Cathedral, after which they will celebrate the event at the five-star Savoy Palace hotel. Hotel guests have already been informed that two floors and several bars will be closed for the celebration on August 7 and 8.
The choice of location is symbolic. It is in Funchal that Ronaldo was born. The cathedral is located near the hospital where the future five-time Ballon d'Or winner was born, as well as close to the base of the Nacional club, where his football career began.
Earlier, rumors circulated on the internet that the wedding would take place on August 1 at the Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra. An alleged guest list was even published online, which included Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, Vin Diesel, and blogger IShowSpeed, as well as a total black dress code. However, this information was later denied.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez met in 2016 at a Gucci boutique in Madrid, where the girl worked as a consultant. The couple announced their engagement in August last year.
At that time, the footballer called Georgina "the woman of his life."
The couple is currently raising five children. Two daughters — Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda — were born from their relationship, while three of Ronaldo's children — Cristiano Jr., Eva, and Mateo — were born via surrogate mothers.
