Dentist: enamel wear threatens gradual destruction of teeth.
Dental surgeon Vyacheslav Minko explained the dangers of gradual enamel wear on teeth. "Teeth that have diminished due to wear cannot withstand the necessary load during chewing. As a result, the load is redistributed, and other teeth are forced to work harder and more actively. This threatens their accelerated wear and gradual destruction," Minko explained. According to the doctor, the issue is that cracks and chips often form on the enamel during the wear process. If this process is not stopped in time, the cracks can lead to pulpitis, periodontitis, and serious inflammations, including purulent ones. At the same time, the specialist noted that slight tooth wear is observed in many people, especially the elderly. According to the doctor, it is important to keep these processes under control and visit the dentist every six months.
