The legend of the 90s, Vladimir Komarov, has passed away. The star of the 'Mask Show' sketch was 62 years old. The death of the artist is reported by the 'Masks' Theater on social media.
"Fantastically talented, God-kissed, positive, kind, charismatic, genuine... Heart failure... There are simply no words," the obituary states.
Vladimir initially did not plan to connect his life with acting. He graduated from the Institute of Food Industry and then served as a sailor for three years. Later, this experience would come in handy for Komarov — in the legendary sketch show, he would often transform into a sailor.
In the mid-80s, Vladimir first joined 'Masks,' but left the group three years later. In the late 80s, Komarov returned to the troupe, where he worked until 2002. After leaving 'Masks,' he, along with 'Kalambur' star Alexey Agopyan, created the duo 'Odokolon.' In 2024, Vladimir returned to the 'House of Clowns' theater.
The artist also appeared in films. He can be seen in Kira Muratova's film 'The Tuner.' The main roles were played by Renata Litvinova and another star of 'Mask Show,' Georgy Deliyev.
Komarov passed away yesterday in Odessa. The funeral service will take place on April 1 at the Panteleimon Monastery. The exact time has not yet been announced.
