Blogger: employees look worse in the office due to the air.
Blogger Noah Donlan revealed the connection between office air and attractiveness. An interview with her is published by People.
In a viral TikTok video, Donlan spoke about the so-called office air theory, which suggests that employees begin to look worse throughout the workday. According to her, after several hours at work, she felt less attractive. "My skin was dry, and my hair became greasy," she complained in the post.
The video creator shared her issue with colleagues and friends, who confirmed her words but could not explain the reason for such a phenomenon. Then the influencer began recording videos about her theory, which quickly started gaining hundreds of thousands of views. In the comments, users overwhelmingly agreed with Donlan's statements.
Editors at the New York Post link the "office air theory" to fluorescent lamps, which are often found in office buildings. "Many fluorescent lamps emit a small amount of UV radiation, which is a primary cause of skin aging and one of the main factors in the development of skin cancer," explained Dr. Ross Levy.
Additionally, the article discusses the blue light emitted by LED lamps and electronic screens. "It has previously been established that blue light damages DNA and contributes to oxidative stress, exacerbating hyperpigmentation and accelerating skin aging, especially in people with darker skin types," Levy added.
