On February 22, the 79th BAFTA Film Awards ceremony took place in London. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts presented the main awards of the year.
The main triumph of the evening was the film "Battle for Battle" — it received six awards, including Best Film and Best Director. The directing award went to Paul Thomas Anderson.
In the category of Best British Film, the winner was Chloe Zhao's "Hamnet: The Story That Inspired 'Hamlet'."
However, Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio, nominated for Best Actor for their roles in "Marty the Magnificent" and "Battle for Battle" respectively, went home empty-handed.
