Кто более близок сегодняшнему руководству России, вопрос излишний.

Bogomolov's appointment "categorically violated the traditions of continuity."

The famous Russian actor and theater and film director, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov stated that he does not intend to submit his candidacy for the position of rector of the MKhAT School-Studio.

"From numerous messages, I learned that I am suspected of some insidious plans to seize this position," Bezrukov wrote on his Telegram channel.

"I have no plans to submit my candidacy for the post of rector of the MKhAT School-Studio. My commitments to managing the theater, teaching at VGIK, and my artistic activities are quite enough for me," he noted.

Earlier, the Ministry of Culture dismissed theater director Konstantin Bogomolov from the position of rector of the MKhAT School-Studio at his own request.

RBC cites the opinion of sources in the theater community, according to which the professional community pressured the rector, forcing him to resign. After Bogomolov's appointment — a graduate of GITIS — graduates of the MKhAT School-Studio sent a letter to the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova requesting a review of the decision.

The letter states that previous leaders of the school — Oleg Efremov, Oleg Tabakov, Anatoly Smelyansky, and Igor Zolotovitsky — were "root MKhAT members." The appointment of Bogomolov, according to the authors of the letter, "categorically violates the traditions of continuity."

In response, Konstantin Bogomolov stated that the division into insiders and outsiders turns the MKhAT School-Studio into a sect.
