The trailer for the documentary musical film EPiC: Elvis Presley and the Concert by director Baz Luhrmann has been released. The film is based on unique archival materials that were considered lost for over 40 years.
Renowned director Baz Luhrmann, who previously directed the biopic Elvis starring Austin Butler, has presented a new documentary project about the legendary musician. The film features previously unseen footage of Elvis Presley.
During the work on the 2022 biopic, Luhrmann stumbled upon archival materials from the films Elvis: That’s the Way and Elvis on Tour. In total, 68 boxes of 35mm and 8mm film were found in the salt mines of Kansas in the Warner Bros. archives, including recordings of Presley's performance in the "golden jacket" in Hawaii in 1957 and previously unheard interviews.

As a result, a 45-minute audio recording was also found, in which Elvis Presley tells the story of his life. This unique material became the basis for the film EPiC: Elvis Presley and the Concert.
Baz Luhrmann describes the film not as a classic documentary or concert film, but as "a new format in the Elvis canon" that reveals not only the greatness of the artist on stage but also his inner world.
The world premiere of the film took place on September 6, 2025, at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film will be released in Ukrainian theaters on February 19, 2026.
Currently, the film has received high ratings from critics: 9/10 on IMDb, 86% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, and 88 out of 100 on Metacritic, corresponding to the status of "universal acclaim."
It is worth noting that American media reports that actress Riley Keough - daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and granddaughter of the legendary Elvis Presley - is allegedly the biological mother of John Travolta's son with his late wife Kelly Preston.
