47-year-old Donald Trump Jr. announced his engagement to 38-year-old model Bettina Anderson. He proposed during a Christmas reception held at the White House.
U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania gathered their children and guests for a festive event. After his speech, the head of state informed those present that his eldest son intends to marry and invited him to the microphone. Donald Trump Jr. admitted that he was not sure of his fiancée's answer, but he still asked the main question — and heard "yes."
"I want to thank Bettina for that one word 'yes'! When you step forward, it feels like you are about to do something very important, but you don’t know what the answer will be. It’s always a little nerve-wracking. But she said 'yes', and for me, that’s a real victory at the end of the year," Trump Jr. stated.
Bettina Anderson also addressed the guests. The model thanked Donald and Melania Trump for the invitation to the White House and confessed that she feels like "the happiest girl in the world."
Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson's relationship began about a year ago, shortly after his breakup with former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, with whom he had been in a relationship for five years. Previously, the president's son was married to Vanessa Hayden, and the couple had five children together.
Donald Trump Jr. was born in Donald Trump's first marriage to Czech model Ivana Trump. This union also produced daughter Ivanka and son Eric. The couple divorced in 1992. A year later, Donald Trump married Marla Maples, who gave birth to his daughter Tiffany. Their marriage ended in 1999, and five years later, the politician married Melania Trump. They have a son, Barron.
