Pamela Anderson continues to surprise fans with a smooth yet confident transformation, moving further away from her iconic look with bold makeup and platinum curls. In a new interview, the star explained why she decided to embrace a maximally natural style and what changed her attitude towards her appearance.
The actress admitted that she now views her appearance not as a tool to conform to the public but as a way to express her inner state. According to her, over time she has learned to treat herself more gently and has stopped striving to be the flawless version created for others' expectations.
"I feel like I’ve cracked some kind of code. I look the same every day as I do in my social media photos, and that’s important. There are so many young girls around me — my sons' fiancées, nieces. I want them to feel confident and accept themselves as they are. That’s really enough," Anderson shared.
One of the key turning points was the loss of her makeup artist Alexis Vogel — the person who created the actress's famous makeup with expressive smoky eyes and defined lip contours. After her death, Pamela gradually gave up heavy makeup and almost stopped using cosmetics altogether. Following this, her hairstyle changed as well: instead of her usual blonde waves, she opted for a short, choppy bob in a warm reddish hue, making her style simpler and more natural.
"Now I just enjoy playing with my hair. Perhaps for the next role, we’ll experiment and add some makeup — finding the golden mean isn’t easy. Maybe that’s freedom too. I don’t think about how I look; I create a character, I’m in the process of transition. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think, 'Who is that?' But it’s fun, it’s beautiful," said the 58-year-old actress.
Today, Anderson is confident that she has found a balance between her true self and her on-screen persona, and minimalism has become a way for her to emphasize sincerity and inner harmony.
