Fans of the famous racing franchise have received important news: Vin Diesel has officially announced that filming for the eleventh installment of 'Fast and Furious' has begun. The new film will be the concluding chapter of the story of Dominic Toretto and his team.
The actor announced the beginning of production on social media, posting a video from the set. The film is titled Fast Forever and is set to conclude a story that has been ongoing for over a quarter of a century.
Previously, Diesel has repeatedly stated that he would like to return the franchise to its roots. According to him, the final installment will again focus on street racing, family values, and events unfolding in Los Angeles. Additionally, the actor hopes to reunite Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner on screen — a character that was played by Paul Walker for many years.
The film is once again directed by Louis Leterrier, who worked on the previous installment of the series. The premiere of Fast Forever is scheduled for March 17, 2028.
