Fish from the dismantled monument complex in Pardaugava have been transferred to the Riga Zoo.
Mainly, the pool was inhabited by carp. Some of them will be released into the zoo's pool, where the gelada monkeys are located.
However, as previously reported, part of the fish will be used as feed for the zoo animals after inspection.
The fish are primarily consumed by crocodiles, ospreys, and bears at the zoo's branch in Cīruli.
According to LTV, there was a total of one ton of fish in the pool near the monument.
