What to Do If Your Pumpkin Didn’t Grow: Tips for Increasing Yield

Sometimes the yield of vegetables that are cared for with love can be disappointing.

If you are facing such a problem in your garden, review the recommendations that will help avoid a recurrence of this situation.

It is important: if you notice sick and wilted leaves in the patch, they should be removed.

This will open access for insects to the flowers, which are poorly pollinated due to such "covering".

Additionally, do not forget about shaping the bushes. It is recommended to leave 3-4 fruits on the main vine, and the tip should be pinched above the fifth leaf after the last ovary.

Limit the growth of side shoots or remove them, leaving only a couple of the strongest ones.

For pinching and removing suckers, choose a cloudy day — this will help the plant recover by the next sunny day and not lose moisture.

Finally, prune excess foliage twice during the season — during the flowering period and when the ovaries are forming.
