Gooseberries, like many garden crops, require not only fertile soil but also proper nutrition.
There is a simple fertilizer that can significantly increase the yield. It not only increases the number of berries harvested but also their size.
How to Prepare Nutrient Fertilizer for Gooseberries
To prepare the fertilizer, dissolve 1 kilogram of chicken manure in 10 liters of water. If you do not have the opportunity to collect manure from the chicken coop, you can use granulated manure.
Thoroughly mix the water with the fertilizer and let it steep for 10 hours. Then dilute 1 liter of the resulting concentrate in 9 liters of water.
It is recommended to use 1-2 liters of the prepared solution for one gooseberry bush. However, before watering, the soil under the bush should be moistened to avoid root burn.
It is best to apply the fertilizer at the end of May or the beginning of June. Gardeners who have already tried this remedy note that it has increased the yield of gooseberries and improved the quality of the fruits.
