How to Avoid Oil Splashes When Frying in a Pan

Cooking can be ruined by oil splattering everywhere, and hot droplets can land on the skin.

To avoid this problem, you can use a simple trick.

Before pouring oil into the pan, heat 1-2 tsp of salt. The salt crystals will absorb excess moisture, making frying potatoes or meat easier and safer.

If you don't want to heat the salt, you can use table vinegar and a piece of cloth or a cotton pad.

Moisten the cloth with vinegar and wipe the inner surface of the pan to ensure it dries well.

Using oil that has just been taken out of the refrigerator can lead to a fountain of hot splashes. Chefs recommend using oil at room temperature to avoid splattering.
