If you have been worried that you drink between 2 to 4 cups of coffee and are clearly overdoing it, a specialist is ready to reassure all coffee lovers. In such amounts, coffee is safe. Even more — specifically 2–4 cups of coffee positively affect human cognitive abilities and extend life.
Research has shown that coffee lovers live longer than those who do not drink it at all. This is attributed to the special properties of the product. For example, it contains elements that prevent the blockage of blood vessels in the brain.
The quality of coffee is just as important as its quantity. To ensure that the habit benefits the brain and the body as a whole, one should consume coffee in a filtered form and without added sugar. However, various spices are allowed to be added to the drink — particularly cinnamon and turmeric. This will enhance the pleasant taste and boost its anti-inflammatory properties.
Of course, 2–4 cups is not quite a universal norm, the dietitian clarified. It is important to monitor the individual reaction of the body. If anxiety or insomnia occurs after the first, second, third, or fourth serving, it is better to give up the drink.
