On the last day of August, as a result of traffic accidents in Latvia, 15 people were injured, including eight cyclists, one pedestrian, and one electric scooter driver, the State Police reported.
A total of 145 traffic accidents were registered in one day, with 13 accidents involving injuries.
In 24 hours, the police recorded 393 administrative offenses in the field of road traffic, including 164 cases of exceeding the permitted speed.
On Monday, police in Latvia detained four drivers of cars and motorcycles for driving under the influence of alcohol. Criminal proceedings have been initiated in all cases.
