Passengers planning trips on the Tukums line should consider potential delays. Due to a tree that fell on the railway tracks, the infrastructure was damaged, and train services have not yet been fully restored.

On Thursday, there were disruptions in train services on the Tukums railway line after a tree fell on the tracks and damaged the railway infrastructure.

According to the passenger carrier Vivi, trains on this route are running with delays. Passengers are advised to check the current schedule information in the carrier's mobile app and on its official information resources before traveling.

Latvijas dzelzceļš reported that service on one of the tracks has already been restored. However, the second track remains closed due to serious damage to the contact network.

Restoration work is ongoing at the site. Railway workers are addressing the aftermath of the incident to restore train services to the normal schedule as quickly as possible.

Until the repairs are completed, delays for individual services may persist. Therefore, passengers are recommended to verify information before departure.

If a train is canceled or arrives significantly late, passengers have the right to request a refund for their ticket or compensation for incurred expenses. This can be done online, at the customer service center, or at the ticket office.

There is currently no information on the timeline for full restoration of service. Until the repairs are finished, the carrier recommends keeping an eye on schedule updates.
