Late Thursday evening, a small smoke incident occurred at the Riga Radio and TV Tower due to equipment overheating, the State Fire and Rescue Service reported to the LETA agency.
Shortly before 10:00 PM, the fire detection and alarm system was activated at the Riga Radio and TV Tower.
Upon arrival at the scene and inspection of the site, it was determined that there was a small local smoke incident caused by overheating of technological equipment.
As a result of the smoke, the fire alarm system was triggered, but no fire occurred.
Considering the specifics of the site, eight fire tankers and 20 firefighters were dispatched to the location.
Shortly before midnight, the work of the fire and rescue units was completed.
