A resident of St. Petersburg, out of jealousy, splashed acid on a girl he broke up with a year ago, and then stabbed her with a knife, journalists reported, citing a source.
According to this information, the man repeatedly threatened and stalked the girl, demanding that she return to him. On the evening of May 23, he broke into the girl's apartment, where she lived with a friend, armed with a gun, a knife, a can of acid, and a gas canister.
"He inflicted multiple stab wounds. The most horrifying part — he splashed her with concentrated nitric acid: on her head, face. The acid got into her eye, on her neck and chest," the source said.
According to him, the girl's friend tried to pull the attacker away, but as a result, she was also injured — the acid burned her hands. The source also reported that during the attack, the victim's current boyfriend called her, but the attacker answered the call and said that the girl was already dead.
It is reported that the victim is in intensive care, facing a complicated surgery, long treatment, and recovery.
It is known that the girl came to St. Petersburg from the Novgorod region and dreamed of saving up for her own business.
After the incident, the man stated that betrayal and infidelity must be punished.
It is reported that today this moral monster was detained by law enforcement.
