Amazon предоставляет крупнейшее "облако" в мире.

The infrastructure will support user interactions with the neural network in real time.

OpenAI has signed its first-ever agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – one of the largest providers of cloud infrastructure services. The contract amount for the provision of computing power is $38 billion, CNBC reports.

As part of the deal, OpenAI will use AWS infrastructure to perform computational tasks, utilizing hundreds of thousands of Nvidia graphics processors in data centers across the United States.

As the channel notes, this contract marks an important milestone in changing OpenAI's strategy, which previously had an exclusive cloud agreement with Microsoft. Last week, the 'special status' granted to Microsoft expired, allowing OpenAI to freely collaborate with other cloud providers.

At the same time, OpenAI will continue its large-scale purchases from Microsoft, reaffirming its commitment to purchase additional Azure services worth $250 billion.

For Amazon, the agreement is strategically significant, as the company is simultaneously developing a partnership with Anthropic – a competitor to OpenAI, investing billions of dollars in this company.

The current agreement with OpenAI includes the use of Nvidia chips, including popular Blackwell models, with the potential to connect additional solutions in the future. The infrastructure will support both user interactions with the neural network (for example, real-time ChatGPT responses) and the training of next-generation models.
